George Reiss does it again, wins overall at Del Mar Fair Tough Trucks event!

This is what 800 horsepower is all about as George covers the pits with a spray of dirt so thick they were cursing hours later. This is the "third" run.

Here is the fourth run, in car and very bouncy -

Michael Archibald had major input on the this Reiss Racing modified racer. He wanted a fun running and very fast Desert toy that could still be competitive in a race. This truck has sweet looking glass that was custom fit to handle the widened track. The engine sounds as good as it runs and should, being from a Corvette LT1. Take a look at the gallery pics and notice the details that make this super strong runner into a pre-runner pleasure in the desert.

Well, its bound to happen, after all every Pre-Runner has to start somewhere. However this Ranger was clean on every corner, the interior in great shape, and runs like a top. Speaking of tops, the truck was a great pit support vehicle with the Work Master topper and shelving inside. Take a look at the before pictures and you'll see how clean it "was."

Owner of Reiss Racing, George Reiss, has the privilege of not just building exotic Pre-Runners and Race trucks, but also racing what he builds. He owns one of about 17 CORR Pro 4, Four Wheel Drive racing trucks. This amazing truck has over 750 horsepower and the suspension to soak up the roughest tracks Jim Baldwin could throw at it. As you probably know, the Baldwin's purchased the CORR short course series back in 2005. Oh, and George had an 900+ HP engine in there for awhile, but "I kept twisting the axles out of the wheels" he said.

George Reiss built an 1985 Toyota 2wd as a personal vehicle. Like many we often have more toys than time. The Toyota was spotted in the back corner of the shop by Justin and then began the pestering. Justin wanted to buy the truck and after a short while George gave in. After looking at the pictures, its easy to see why George did not want to get rid of it so easily.

Stan had a 1991 Ford Bronco dieing in the driveway. With a mild AutoFab kit it was fun in the desert but no where near the performance Stan dreamed of. Having a family meant priorities were the call to duty and desert toys took a backseat for spending any "extra money".
